Since 2020, Mateo Tutoring has supported students across the San Francisco Bay Area, San Joaquin County, and beyond through one-on-one tutoring and college and career advising. What we offer goes beyond traditional tutoring. It always has.
At the center of our work is the Mateo Method: a personal, founder-led approach that begins with understanding the individual: how each student thinks, what drives them, where they face challenges, and where they want to go. From there, we build a learning experience around them.
Every consultation, tutor match, and support plan is led directly by our founder Lariel Mateo, ensuring each pairing is intentional and every experience remains personal. In close partnership with college advisor Leo Libres, we extend this approach into college admissions strategy and long-term academic planning—providing Mateo Scholars with cohesive guidance to their next step, whether in higher education or their professional path.
